At Krystal Vision, our goal is to make quality eye care accessible and affordable for everyone. We are pleased to offer direct billing for most major insurance providers to simplify your experience. This service saves you time and reduces your out-of-pocket expenses for eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.

OHIP Coverage for Eye Exams

Residents of Ontario with a valid OHIP card may be eligible for coverage on their routine eye exams. We can bill OHIP directly for your appointment if you fall into one of the following eligible groups

👶 Children & Youth (19 years of age and under)

Receive coverage for one comprehensive eye exam annually.

👴 Seniors (65 years of age and over)

Receive coverage for one comprehensive eye exam every 18 months.

⚕️ Patients with Eligible Medical Conditions

Patients with specific medical conditions, such as diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, or retinal disease, receive coverage for a comprehensive eye exam annually.

Private Insurance & Direct Billing

Take the stress out of your purchase by letting us bill your private insurance provider for you! We can directly bill for a wide range of products and services, so you don’t have to worry about paying the full amount upfront and submitting the paperwork for reimbursement yourself.

Please Note: Direct billing is available for most insurance companies, but is subject to the specific terms and conditions of your plan. Some benefit plans do not allow for direct billing by providers. We recommend checking with your employer or insurance provider for details on your coverage. To ensure a smooth process, please bring your insurance information with you to your appointment.
